MA Architectural Design

The Architectural Design MA at Cardiff University is a full-time course that enables students to explore design concepts and enrich their understanding of the built environment. This course encourages innovative thinking, and it helps to prepare students for a career in the field of architecture.Course Content: This includes exploring advanced knowledge of architectural design and learning how to react to current cultural contexts. Students will also appreciate the historical, theoretical, and cultural elements of architecture.Key Modules: There are seven modules in total, namely Independent Project 1 (Design), Independent Project 2 (Design), Design Cultures (Theory), Independent Research (Theory), Independent Research (Design), Independent Project (Design) and Independent Project (Design Sequencing). Accreditations: This course is accredited by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) at Part 2 level and prescribed by the Architects Registration Board (ARB). Future Careers: With a Master's degree in Architectural Design, graduates have the potential to progress to advanced study or a wide range of employment opportunities in the field of architecture and beyond.
