The Law and Welsh LLB at Cardiff University is a unique course designed to equip students with a profound understanding of law and advanced proficiency in the Welsh language. This full-time course spans for four years, giving the students ample opportunity to develop their legal expertise and language skills, facilitating them to work confidently in either language in a professional environment.Course Content: The course aims to develop students' understanding of the nature of law and legal process, legal reasoning and methods and the place of law in society. It underpins these objectives with comprehensive training in the Welsh language. The majority of the course is a compulsory study that offers students exposure to the core disciplines of law, including Criminal Law, Contract Law, Public Law, Land Law, and Equity and Trusts. The rest of the structure comprises a range of optional modules that allow students to delve into a diverse range of legal specialisms. Students will also learn about the role of law in contemporary society and the workings of legal reasoning and knowledge. Key Modules: Some of the key modules in this course include Criminal Law, Law of the European Union, Contract Law, Public Law, Legal Foundations, Legal Skills, Law of Tort 1 and 2, and Legal System.Accreditations: The Law and Welsh LLB is recognised by the Law Society and the Bar Council, and can be used to exempt holders from the academic stage of their professional examinations.
