The Civil and Environmental Engineering BEng course at Cardiff University is a full-time undergraduate program that is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge required to excel in the field of civil and environmental engineering. This course gives you the opportunity to learn the crucial role that environmental considerations play in shaping the constructed world around us, from buildings and their associated infrastructure to heavy industrial sites and land/water remediation.Course Content: Students will explore topics like structural mechanics, the behaviour of materials under loading, the study of geology, soil mechanics, hydraulics, and the environment, as well as structural design and construction management. They will also have the opportunity to undertake a project aligned with Cardiff University's research.Key Modules: The course modules include Geotechnics and Structural Mechanics, Structures and Construction Materials, Structural Design and Analysis, and Hydraulics, among others.Accreditations: This course is accredited by the Joint Board of Moderators (JBM) comprising the Institution of Civil Engineers, the Institution of Structural Engineers, the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation, and the Institute of Highway Engineers. Future Careers: Graduates of this course go on to start their careers as Civil Engineers in consulting agencies, government departments, or construction companies.
