The Music and Mathematics BA is a unique undergraduate program offered at Cardiff University. This degree combines both disciplines to offer a broad and exciting education experience. The course allows students to develop the creative and technical skills required for careers in music and mathematics and the areas in which they overlap.Course Content: The program consists of two parts: part one includes the core modules, and part two provides advanced modules in which students can specialize. In year one, students split their time equally between the two subjects, acquiring basic skills and understanding. In the second and third year, students can choose to specialize more heavily in music or mathematics or continue with the 50/50 split.Key Modules: For Music, core modules take a broad approach to the subject, covering topics such as Practical Musicianship, Music History, Popular Music and Culture, and Issues in Musicology.
