BA Chinese

The Chinese BA course offered by Cardiff University combines intensive study of the Chinese language with the opportunity to explore China’s history, culture, economy and politics. This single honours programme aims to develop students as competent Chinese language users while giving them insights into the Chinese-speaking world.Course Content: This full-time undergraduate course is structured across three years. In Year 1, the study revolves around elementary Chinese and three additional modules that can be chosen from a variety such as Issues in Global Politics, Modern British Politics, etc. Year 2 is spent at a university in China where students get immersed in the country's language and culture. The final year focuses on more advanced Chinese along with some optional modules like Intelligence and International Relations. Key Modules: The main modules of this course include Elementary Chinese, Intermediate Chinese, Advanced Chinese, Chinese Politics Business & Economics, and a Dissertation in Chinese Studies.
