The BSc (Hons) Palaeontology course at the University of Portsmouth provides students with a deep understanding of the history of life on Earth. Throughout this course, students will learn the fundamental skills necessary to interpret the fossils of plants, animals, and microorganisms and use them to recreate past environments and climates. They will also get hands-on experience with field trips and find, excavate, and interpret fossils in the wide-ranging geological exposures of southern England.Course Content: The program covers a wide range of topics, including biodiversity, anatomy and evolution, earth materials, and macroevolution and palaeobiology.
