BEng (Hons) Robotics and Artificial Intelligence 

The BEng (Hons) Robotics and Artificial Intelligence course at the University of Portsmouth is designed to impart knowledge and understanding in robotics and artificial intelligence, providing students with the skills and experience they need to excel in these fast-growing fields. The course prepares students for a career in industries such as robotics, AI, telecommunications, and programming, amongst others. Course Content: This undergraduate course incorporates varied learning approaches to maximise students’ understanding and application, including lectures, seminars, group work, practical laboratory work, and private study. The course gives special focus on artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and cyber-physical systems, training students both in theory and practice. It also fosters a practical understanding, preparing students to design, construct, and test robotic systems. Key Modules: Some of the key modules in this course include Introduction to Robotics, Fundamentals of Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber-Physical Systems, Advanced Robotics and Autonomous Systems, Interaction Design and User Experience, and Engineering Business Environment. Accreditations: This course is accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) on behalf of the Engineering Council, meeting the requirements for further learning for registration as an Incorporated Engineer (IEng).Future Careers: Graduates with a BEng (Hons) in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence can frame their career paths in industries like robotics, AI, software development, telecom, project management, and control systems.
