BA (Hons) International Development and Languages 

The BA (Hons) in International Development and Languages course at the University of Portsmouth encourages students to explore the interconnected challenges facing inhabitants of our world today. The course combines the study of international development with a focus on languages, helping students gain the necessary skills and knowledge to make a global impact.Course Content: The course is composed of theory and practical work. It covers topics like inequality in a global age, understanding international development, global governance, development and environmental challenges, among others. Additionally, students can choose a language to study from French, Spanish, German, Italian, Mandarin, Japanese, or Arabic.Key Modules: Key modules include Inequality in a Global Age, Understanding International Development, Global Governance, Development and Environmental Challenges, Conflict in Sub-Saharan Africa, War and Visual Culture in Modern Asia and Europe, Entrepreneurship in the Developing World, among others.
