The BA (Hons) English and Creative Writing course at the University of Portsmouth equips students with a strong command of the English language and a keen understanding of how great works of literature and creative writing are created and received. This degree combines the study of English literature with the chance to develop your creative writing skills in classes taught by practicing and published authors.Course Content: The course is made up of a combination of lectures, seminars, and one-on-one tutorials. Core areas studied include Understanding Literature, Creative Writing, English Language and Linguistics, and Literary Studies. The course also includes optional units, allowing students to cater the course towards their individual interests or career paths.
