The Irish & Spanish BA course at Queen's University Belfast is a unique undergraduate program that blends the study of these two distinct languages and cultures. Students have the opportunity to develop their language skills, gain extensive knowledge of the literature, history and culture associated with these languages. The course duration is three years full time, typically with a year spent in Ireland (for Irish) and Spain (for Spanish).Course Content: The course focuses on in-depth language teaching of Spanish and Irish, along with a broad coverage of literature, culture, and society of Spanish-speaking world and Ireland. Year one covers beginners' courses in Spanish and Irish while also introducing students to Hispanic cultures, and Irish Literature and Society. Student also studies linguistics in the second year. Third year mainly focuses on study placements in Spain and Ireland.
