The French and History BA course at Queen's University Belfast is a full-time, 3-year programme that allows students to embrace French language and culture while also exploring the historical context of various societies from the medieval period up until present day. Course Content: In the beginning, students will split their time equally between French and History. French classes will include learning the language and studying French literature, history, culture, and politics. History modules will address themes in national and global history from ancient times to contemporary history. In the final year, students can choose to focus more heavily on one of the subjects (75%) and less on the other (25%).Key Modules: Some of the key modules include Modern French 1, Introduction to French Studies 1, Europe Transformation and Crisis: c.1300-1520, Conflict, War and Peace: Historical Perspectives, From Revolution to Dictatorship: France 1789-1945, and Cinema and Culture in France since 1895Accreditations: The degree is accredited by ALCAB (The A Level Content Advisory Board) in conjunction with the Russell Group.Future Careers: The skills gained from this course make graduates highly attractive to employers.
