MPAS Physician Associate Studies

The MPAS Physician Associate Studies at the University of Reading is a two-year postgraduate course. This course emphasizes a mix of theoretical and practical studies, preparing students to deal with a diverse range of medical situations. Graduates of this course are trained to provide patient consultations, physical examinations, diagnose diseases, manage treatment plans and perform a range of medical procedures under the supervision of a doctor.Course Content: Superior clinical professional training, rigorous medical theory instruction, observation and participation in patient-care environment, 1400 hours of clinical practice in various settings including general practice, mental health, emergency medicine, surgery, paediatrics and obstetrics and gynaecology, alongside specialities such as dermatology, ophthalmology and rheumatology.Accreditations: This course is accredited by the Faculty of Physician Associates at the Royal College of Physicians.Future Careers: Upon completion of the course, students can pursue careers as physician associates across the health sector in various roles such as clinical management, consultation, physical examination, diagnosis of diseases, and medical procedures.
