LLB Law

The LLB Law Undergraduate course at the University of Reading offers students an in-depth understanding of law and legal principles, along with opportunities to develop areas of special interest. The course is steeped in tradition and innovation, grounding critical, contextual, and socio-legal analytics while offering cutting-edge electives. Course Content: The course focuses on fundamental areas of law like Contract Law, Tort Law, Criminal Law, and Constitutional Law. In addition to core units, students have the flexibility to select modules of law that align with their interests such as International Human Rights Law, European Union Law, and Intellectual Property Law among others. Key Modules: Key modules of this course include Legal Skills, Public Law, Contract Law, Criminal Law, EU Law, and Law of Tort. Accreditations: The course is fully accredited by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Bar Standards Board and upon completion, graduates will be eligible to progress to the vocational stage of legal professional qualification. Future Careers: This course produces law graduates who are confident and competent in their chosen field. Graduates from the LLB Law course have gone on to work in a wide range of careers including solicitors, barristers, legal executives and roles related to law such as compliance officers, legal advisers, or roles within the Civil Service.
