BSc Geography (Human)

The BSc Human Geography at the University of Reading is an innovative programme that uniquely combines the study of humanities with physical geography. This course allows students to explore complex issues surrounding human society, culture, nature, economics, and politics. Course Content: The curriculum of the programme includes a range of topics that address today's most pressing societal problems. These include social inequality, cultural diversity, urban growth, migration, and climate change. It encourages students to conduct independent research and offers a range of field trips to countries like Malta and Germany. Students also have the opportunity to take a placement year in industry or study abroad. Key Modules: The course is made up of a series of key modules. Some of these modules include Human Geography: People, Space and Environment; Skills for Geographers; Thinking Geographically; Making Human Worlds; Introduction to Qualitative Research; Geographical Controversies; and Dissertation.Accreditations: The BSc Human Geography course is accredited by Royal Geographical Society (RGS).
