The BA War, Peace and International Relations with Placement Year course at the University of Reading offers students a comprehensive understanding of international relations, peace and conflict studies, and strategic studies. Students get the opportunity to study in a variety of countries in their third year and work on a dissertation in their final year which allows them to explore a topic of interest in depth.Course Content: The course covers topics like the causes, conduct and consequences of warfare, the nature of peace and the construction and maintenance of peace, the role of international organisations in international relations, the significance of strategy and the strategic mind-set, and the significance of soft and hard power, among others. The course also includes a year-long work placement.
