The BA in Spanish and International Development course at the University of Reading intertwines the study of the Spanish language, culture, and society with a comprehensive understanding of international development. Students will split their time between the Department of Modern Languages and European Studies and the Department of Economics.Course Content: Students on this course will acquire broad knowledge and understanding of the historical, cultural, social and institutional factors influencing development across the world. Alongside Spanish language, students will also study cultural texts including literature, film, and media. The course incorporates year-long industrial placements, or studying at a Spanish or Latin American university to gain practical experience.
