The BA in Modern Languages and International Relations course at the University of Reading combines the study of international relations with the acquisition of one or two foreign languages. The study of international relations covers issues such as politics, economics, and international law while the language module gives students fluency in a chosen language and an understanding of the culture, society, and history of the respective country.Course Content: This course gives students both theoretical and practical knowledge. At the start of the course, students are introduced to the key challenges facing Europe and the world today. Later, they can choose modules according to their specific interests. In the final part of the course, students are given the opportunity to spend a year abroad, either studying or working, to further immerse in their chosen language and culture.
