The BA Archaeology with Study Abroad Year at the University of Reading is a four-year undergraduate degree. This program innovatively combines theoretical studies with practical experience and provides students with the opportunity to spend a year abroad in locations such as North America or Scandinavia. Course Content: Intensive modules cover areas such as archaeological theory and methods, environmental archaeology, landscape archaeology, and the archaeology of standing buildings. Practical training may include areas like surveying, geophysical survey, and excavation. The course work includes various forms of assessment such as fieldwork diaries, essays, group presentations, portfolios, and 'wiki' exercises.
