MSc Minimally Invasive Dentistry

The MSc course in Minimally Invasive Dentistry at Queen Mary University of London aims to develop dental practitioners who are able to understand, apply, and further disseminate knowledge regarding the principles of minimally invasive dentistry (MID) in private practice, public health, academia, and research. It empowers students to understand and critically analyze the underlying principles of MID and enables them to apply these principles to clinical practice by teaching them the skills and knowledge required to diagnose, treatment plan, and deliver healthcare based on minimal intervention.Course Content: The program concentrates on providing theory and practical skills related to prevention and management of dental caries, aesthetic restorative dentistry, use and application of dental materials, behavioral management, operative dentistry, tooth wear, patient communication, business management, tooth whitening, infection control, dental photography, and advanced restorative techniques. Key Modules: The key modules include modules related to the principles of MID, applied MID, and translational MID. You will also complete a research project as part of the course.Accreditations: The course is provided by the Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, a faculty of Queen Mary University of London.
