MSc Gastroenterology

The Queen Mary University of London's Gastroenterology MSc is a comprehensive programme created to offer healthcare professionals the opportunity to explore and study various aspects of gastroenterology in depth, focusing on the diagnosis and management of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and liver.Course Content: This course extends on the knowledge of the fundamentals of gastroenterology, including basic science and translation to clinical practice, and introduces more complex disciplines. The key areas of study include liver disease, hepatology, and pancreatology. The course also includes the development of practical skills in endoscopies and research methods in gastroenterology.Key Modules: Some of the primary modules covered are Biological Therapies and Transplantation, Clinical Gastroenterology, Gastrointestinal Cancers, and Imaging. In addition to these, participants will also have the opportunity to explore advanced genres such as Inherited Metabolic Diseases and Role of Inflammation in Disease among others.Accreditations: The course is accredited by the Joint Advisory Group (JAG) on GI Endoscopy.Future Careers: Upon successful completion of this course, students can apply for consultant positions and leadership roles in gastroenterology.
