MSc Critical Care

The Critical Care MSc at Queen Mary University of London is an innovative course that offers leading training and knowledge on how to provide quality healthcare in high-demanding critical care environments. It equips students with essential skills required in current critical care practices, offering in-depth understanding of the theory and research that underpins clinical practice. Course Content: Students will learn clinical skills, theoretical knowledge, research methods, and personal development. A significant component of the course is the development of clinical skills and competences under supervision, using simulation and directly working with patients. Key Modules: There are 8 key modules including: Research methods, Anatomy, physiology and pathology of the systems, Application of anatomical, physiological & pathological theory in practice, Human Factors in healthcare, Ethics & Law in critical care environment, Leadership & Management and an extensive MSc Project.Future Careers: This program aims to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary for critical care medical and paramedical professionals, enabling them to achieve the competencies in critical care recommended by the NHS and professional bodies such as the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine and the Intensive Care Society.
