BSc (Hons) Chemistry

The Bachelor of Science in Chemistry course offered by the University of the West of Scotland (UWS) is designed to give students a solid foundation in the fundamental principles of chemistry. The course involves substantial laboratory work and opportunities for industry placements enhancing practical skills. Students will gain knowledge in organic, inorganic, physical and analytical chemistry as well as in drugs & pharmaceutical chemistry.Course Content: The course progresses from general topics in chemistry to more advanced topics. Year 1 allows students to grasp the basics of chemistry alongside introductory modules in biology and forensic science. Year 2 and 3 offer advanced teaching in organic, inorganic, physical & analytical chemistry and data analysis.
