BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing BSc

The Adult Nursing course offered by the University of the West Scotland (UWS) is a three-year undergraduate program, providing degree level of professional education and training to shape caring, compassionate, competent and knowledgeable graduate adult nurses. Course Content: The course has been designed to develop the knowledge and skills needed by adult nurses, who aim to make a genuine difference to those who are ill, injured or have long-term health conditions. Students will engage in work-based learning activities and undertake practice learning experiences to demonstrate their nursing competence. Key Modules: The curriculum of this program includes modules spread across three academic years. For instance, students start with modules such as Foundations in health and wellbeing, Professional role of the nurse, Adult health and wellbeing etc. In the second and third years, add advanced courses such as Leadership and management in health and social care and Dissertation nursing get added up.Accreditations: This Adult Nursing degree at UWS is approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), certifying students as a Registered Nurse upon successful completion of the program.Future Careers: Graduates in Adult Nursing are prepared for a range of potential careers within health and social care organizations and wider industry sectors.
