The MSc Psycholinguistics from the University of York is a distinctive postgraduate program that covers theoretical aspects as well as methodological skills. This one-year full-time course offers a comprehensive insight into cognitive neuroscience, language comprehension, language production and disorders; and psycholinguistics research.Course Content: The course is divided into two parts - the taught component, which is taught in the Autumn and Spring Terms, and the research component that primarily takes place in the Summer term. The taught component comprises lectures, seminars and practical sessions, covering both theory and methodology in psycholinguistics. The research component involves an empirical research project on a psycholinguistic topic of the student's choice.Key Modules: The course consists of numerous modules such as Research Methods in Psycholinguistics, Issues in Theoretical Psycholinguistics, Advanced Psycholinguistics, Language Neuropsychology, among others. There is also an Independent Study module which gives students an opportunity to explore a topic of their choice in depth.
