MEnv (Hons) Environmental Science (with a placement year)

The MEnv Environmental Science with Placement course at the University of York is a four-year master's programme that allows students the opportunity of a year-long industry placement. This course combines coursework, field trips, and hands-on research with the aim to provide students with a broad understanding of Environmental Science and equip them with necessary analytical skills to solve environmental problems.Course Content: The course covers several key areas such as Global Environmental Change, Environmental Impact Assessment, Sustainability and Environmental Systems, Environmental Pollution, Ecosystem Services, and Analytical Techniques.Key Modules: Some of the modules you may study include Atmosphere and Oceans, Maths for Environmental Scientists, Environmental Field Project, Biodiversity and Ecosystems, Weathering and Global Geochemical Cycles, Earth's Internal Processes, and Environmental Economics and Policy.Accreditations: This course is accredited by the Institution of Environmental Sciences (IES) and the Royal Meteorological Society (RMS).Future Careers: This course provides an excellent foundation for careers in environmental consultancy, government agencies, conservation, climate change mitigation, and environmental education.
