MChem (Hons) Chemistry (with a year abroad)

The MChem Chemistry with a Year Abroad at the University of York is a four-year undergraduate programme which blends both theoretical and practical aspects of chemistry. It offers the opportunity for students to live and study in one of the university's partner institutions abroad, whilst completing an extensive final year project in York.Course Content: The course is structured to build upon the student’s knowledge until they are well-recognized with the areas of chemistry. It begins with foundational concepts, and progresses towards specialized subjects where students can study in depth. The final year offers a chance to dig deeper into independent research in a chosen area.Key Modules: These include Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Inorganic Chemistry which are integral to the foundation year. As the course progresses, students have the option to specialize in their areas of interest within these fields.
