BEng (Hons) Engineering

The BEng in Engineering at the University of York is an innovative and flexible course designed to provide students with the core principles and techniques of engineering. The course allows students to specialise in mechanical, electrical or electronic engineering in the second and third years. Course Content: The curriculum includes broad topics such as Mathematics, Principles of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Principles of Mechanical Engineering, and Thermodynamics. In the second and third years, students get the opportunity to select a specific engineering stream and study specialised modules accordingly.Key Modules: The key modules include Introduction to Engineering, Engineering Design Skills, Mechanics of Solids, Probability and Statistics, Mathematics, Discrete Mathematics and Programming, Systems and Control, and Operations Management.
