BA (Hons) Linguistics with Languages and Cultures (German)

The BA in Linguistics & German at the University of York is a unique course that provides students with an understanding of the scientific study of language, combined with the opportunity to dive into the linguistic and cultural diversity of German. This program’s duration is three or four years and includes a year in Germany to immerse students in the language and culture.Course Content: The course begins with foundational topics such as Sounds of the World's Languages, Syntax: Studying Language Structure, and Morphology: Studying Word Structure followed by advance subjects like Phonetics: the sounds of speech, Phonology: the patterning of sounds and more.
