BA (Hons) Liberal Arts with French

The BA Liberal Arts (with French) course at the University of York offers an interdisciplinary programme that lets students immerse in several disciplines all at once. The major focus of this course is French language and culture, enabling students to develop a high level of proficiency in French.Course Content: The course provides a solid foundation in the study of the humanities and social sciences. The first year involves a broad introduction to liberal arts, leading into more specific studies in second and third years. Modules cover a range of topics, from Enlightenment literature to modern cultural theory.Key Modules: French Language, Core Concepts in Liberal Arts, Imagining the Unseen in Medieval France, The Novel (1789 to 1914), World Cinema and Popular French Culture.
