The BA Spanish & Linguistics with a Year Abroad at the University of York is a four-year full-time undergraduate course. This course provides a thorough understanding of the linguistic structure of Spanish, as well as a wider view of how languages in general are structured, used, learned, and lost. The course includes a year abroad in a Spanish-speaking country that gives students the chance to immerse themselves in the language and culture.Course Content: The first two years include compulsory modules driven by the latest research in linguistics and Spanish studies, as well as free choice modules allowing students to tailor their degree to their interests. During the third year, students spend a year abroad in Spain or Latin America.
