The Urban Regeneration MSc at UCL is an programme designed to meet the needs of those engaged in or preparing to engage in urban regeneration and environmental management roles. This program aims to ensure the enhanced performance of students in contributing to future building and construction related processes and development.Course Content: The programme focuses on contributing to the home and international urban regeneration policy and practice. The course is designed to focus on the synergy between urban regeneration and environmental management. It combines the built environment, environmental pressures, and the future sustainability of cities. Key Modules: The programme is delivered via individual and group project work, skills workshops, lectures, tutor-led and student-led seminars, site visits, analytical exercises and case studies. Some of the key modules are Urban Regeneration, Sustainable Urban Development: Key Themes, Sustainable Property: Valuation, Investment, Marketing, Planning Practice, Professional Practice: Ethics and Management, Building Health: Principles and Practice, Implementing Sustainability: The Regeneration Practitioner’s Role, Sustainable Strategies and Policies. Accreditations: The course is accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). Future Careers: The programme includes graduates who've established careers in local government, the voluntary sector, housing and development; many hold senior positions that influence major decisions in relation to housing and development, urban regeneration, environmental management, transport policy and public health.
