The Spatial Planning MSc at UCL is designed to provide a solid basis for a professional career within spatial planning and is meant for students with significant experience in planning or related activities. The course will integrate inputs from academic staff involved in social, economic and policy dimensions of planning to provide thematic breadth. Course Content: The course will focus on developing students' abilities for critical inquiry and thinking across spatial scales, from the local to the international, while equipping them with the skills to play an active role in the management of land and development. Topics covered include planning theory and practice, legal and policy context, spatial analysis, valuation and property development, environmental assessment, and urban design.Key Modules: Some of the key modules in the course include 'Planning History,' 'Law and Policy,' 'Regional and Comparative Planning Studies,' 'Spatial Concepts and Analysis, Urban Design,' and 'Sustainable Cities and Neighborhoods.'
