The Social Epidemiology MSc course at University College London (UCL) is a one-year full-time or two to five-year part-time program designed for students who want to understand and develop methods to investigate the social determinants of health. This course puts focus on the investigation of the social determinants of health and the effects of these on health policy and public health.Course Content: The program is taught through a combination of lectures, seminars, workshops, and tutorials. The curriculum includes practical experience in running a randomized controlled trial and included modules in statistics, epidemiology, and public health.Key Modules: The core modules in the course include Basic Statistics for Medical Science, Social Epidemiology, Epidemiology and Medical Statistics, The ICH Child Public Health Study Module, and Research Report.Future Careers: On completion of the program, graduates will be suitably placed for careers in epidemiological practice and research, health service sectors in government, or the private sector, for public health policy, and various roles in public health organizations.
