MSc Paediatrics and Child Health: Advanced Paediatrics

The Paediatrics and Child Health: Advanced Paediatrics MSc program offered by University College London (UCL) is designed to equip students with an advanced understanding of paediatric issues from a global health perspective. The course provides comprehensive learning experiences which include case-based teaching, hands-on workshops, and placements in hospitals, in order to prepare students for a career in child health.Course Content: The course covers a wide range of topics essential to paediatric care including Global Child Health, Social Determinants of Health, Child Development and Neurodisability, and Ethics and Law in Paediatrics among others. Students will need to complete a dissertation which contributes significantly to their final degree.Key Modules: The compulsory modules include Foundations of General Paediatrics; Specialist Paediatrics; Research Methodology and Evidence-Based Practice. Optional modules available for selection include Research in Action; Child Development and Neurodisability; Surgical Neonates; Cardiorespiratory Neonates; and Paediatric and Perinatal Pathology.Accreditations: The course is accredited by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH).Future Careers: This course prepares students for a range of career paths in clinical, academic or policy-making related roles in paediatrics and child health.
