The MClinDent in Advanced Training in Oral Surgery offered by UCL is a full-time three-year programme that integrates theoretical and clinical teaching, basic science learning and practical skills training. Designed to equip graduates with comprehensive knowledge and advanced skills in Oral Surgery, the course covers a range of topics within oral surgery including clinical skills, theoretical knowledge and research in the field. Course Content: The course is structured to include clinical sessions, tutorials, seminars, lectures, research project work, and practical laboratory work for implant overdenture construction. Students will acquire proficient clinical skills in oral surgery while gaining advanced theoretical knowledge. The course delves into subjects such as surgical anatomy, patient care, treatment planning and more.Key Modules: The course is composed of specific study modules such as Patient Care, Clinical Science, Practice Management, and Research Methods in addition to a significant research project that is a key component of the course.Accreditations: On successful completion of the MClinDent Oral Surgery course, students would be awarded the degree MClinDent Oral Surgery and may also be awarded the tri-collegiate diploma of Membership in Oral Surgery (MOral Surg) from the Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) of England.Future Careers: Graduates of this program can look forward to potential career opportunities in community dentistry, hospital service, university positions, or they can establish private specialist practice.
