MSc Health Humanities

The Health Humanities MA course offered by UCL (University College London) is a degree programme designed to investigate the ways in which the arts and humanities can be applied to health and wellbeing. By employing approaches from the humanities and arts, the programme explores the complexities of human health, illness and healthcare. Course Content: The programme covers various topics including the role of the arts in health, history of medicine, philosophy of health, medical law, ethics in health and illness narratives. It involves a transdisciplinary approach with a strong theoretical basis which is applied to real-world situations and case studies. Key Modules: Notably, the degree includes five core modules -- Arts and Health: Current Practices and Shared Methodologies, Concepts and Constructions of Health, Philosophy of Health: An Introduction, Independent Research Project, and Dissertation.
