The Environmental Systems Engineering MSc at UCL is a comprehensive one-year, full-time course that brings together the areas of process engineering, environmental engineering, and environmental health. The course aims to enable students to gain a scientific understanding of the nature of environmental problems, together with technological expertise in managing such issues from a methodical and organized perspective. Course Content: The course delves into areas like water resource management, environment and human health, urban environments, climate and energy. It also provides laboratory work, case studies, project work and a wide range of optional modules.Key Modules: Some key modules in this course include Desalination, Solid Waste Management and Carbon Capture and Storage. Students will also undertake a research project/dissertation of their choosing, supervised by a faculty member.Accreditations: This program is accredited by the Joint Board of Moderators, fulfilling the academic requirements for Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.Future Careers: The graduates of this course go on to have successful careers in environmental consultancy, the water industry, or public health sectors both in the UK and internationally.
