The Economics MSc at University College London (UCL) is a course designed to provide students with a thorough grounding in economic theory and contemporary economic problems. The course equips students with the necessary tools they need to use economics in their future careers. Furthermore, students will also develop their ability to apply the analytic tools to economic problems, among other things. Course Content: The course offers a combination of both core and optional modules. The core modules form the backbone of the course and include Macroeconomics, Microeconomics and Econometrics. Also, optional modules allow students to tailor their degrees to their own personal interests and career aspirations. Key Modules: The key modules include Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Econometrics, and a Dissertation. The dissertation is a special course in which each student, under the guidance of an individual supervisor, conducts a research project on a specified topic in economics. Future Careers: The course provides students with a strong foundation for a broad range of careers. Graduates of this course have gone into careers in a range of industries, including finance, consultancy, the public sector, and academia.
