The MSc Democracy and Comparative Politics at UCL equips students with the knowledge and understanding necessary to evaluate and apply democratic theory. It allows individuals to critically assess the impact of major social, political, and economic changes on democratic institutions, as well as compare institutional arrangements in democratic and developing societies.Course Content: This masters-level course introduces students to the main theories, concepts and debates in the study of democratic governance and comparative politics. The program differs from standard courses in comparative government as it draws extensively on work from political theory. It also incorporates leading-edge research in its approach and teaching material. Key Modules: The MSc Democracy and Comparative Politics covers four core components including Democracy: Theory & Practice, Comparative Political Analysis, Politics of Democracy and Democracy: Political Problems.
