MSc Data Science and Public Policy (Economics)

The MSc in Data Science and Public Policy Economics at UCL equips students with the necessary tools to understand the complex relationship between public policy and economic behavior. This course is hosted at the School of Public Policy and the Department of Economics. Course Content: The course will focus on policy issues and economics in the context of data science. It offers a strong foundation in public economics, data analysis, econometrics, and data science techniques, imparting the skills to use quantitative methods and data analysis to inform policy choices. Key Modules: Key modules in the curriculum include Public Economics, Data Science for Research in Health, Machine Learning for Policy, Econometrics for Policy, and a dissertation topic of your choice.Future Careers: Upon graduation, students have a broad range of career opportunities. They can work in local or national government, international organizations, think tanks, consultancies, or non-governmental organizations.
