The Bioarchaeological and Forensic Anthropology MSc at University College London (UCL) is a full-time, one year course that involves a comprehensive examination of human skeletal remains combining theory and practical application. This course combines archaeology, biology, and forensics to research throughout landscapes, from early prehistoric to modern periods.Course Content: Students will learn to utilize comprehensive and in-depth knowledge in the detection, recovery, interpretation and reporting of human remains. Building their research exposure, students will develop a strong understanding of experimental archaeology, geographical information systems, forensic anthropology and dealing with linked forensic taphonomy issues. Key Modules: The key modules of the course include Archaeology of Human Remains, Dental Anthropology, Forensic Anthropology, and Laboratory Methods in Bioarchaeology, along with two optional modules and a research report.Future Careers: Graduates of this program can venture into archaeological work, including excavation and post-excavation analysis in the public and private sectors.
