The Audiological Science MSc at UCL is a full-time program designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to practice as an Audiological Scientist. The program is comprehensive, covering a broad range of audiology practices. Course Content: The program is structured to offer foundational knowledge in audiology and is supplemented by extensive practical training. The curriculum includes lectures, laboratory practicals, clinical placements, and a research project. The course focuses on areas of clinical audiology including hearing aids and cochlear implants, audiological assessment, vestibular diagnosis, audiological management, and rehabilitation.Key Modules: Key modules include Foundations of Audiological Science, Auditory and Vestibular Assessment, Medical and Surgical Management of Auditory and Vestibular Disorders, Hearing Aids and Cochlear Implants, Paediatric Audiology, Audiology and Deafness, Balance Science and Management, and Vestibular Rehabilitation.Accreditations: The program is pending accreditation by The Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists (RCCP).Future Careers: Graduates from this course often progress into roles such as audiologists in hospitals and clinics, cochlear implant audiologists, or research audiologists.
