The Applied Paediatric Neuropsychology MSc is a programme offered by University College London (UCL). It provides detailed knowledge about the nature and impact of neurodevelopmental conditions, as well as specialized knowledge of paediatric neuropsychology, neurobiology, neuropsychopharmacology, and neuroimaging.Course Content: During this course, students will gain a comprehensive grounding in the principles of neuropsychology, and a deep understanding of disorders seen in infancy through late adolescence. There is also an opportunity for students to observe neuropsychological assessments within the UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health (ICH) Developmental Cognitive Neurosciences Unit’s clinics. Key Modules: Main modules in the first term are ‘Neuropsychology: Principles, Methods and Applications’ and ‘Neurodevelopmental Disorders in Childhood’. In the second term, students may choose two or three electives to specialize further, such as ‘Clinical Paediatric Neuropsychology’ and ‘Research Statistics’. The final term is dedicated to a research dissertation.Accreditations: This course is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and provides the underpinning knowledge component of the Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology (QiCN).Future Careers: Graduates can pursue careers in academia, healthcare, or related fields.
