MSc Applied Analytical Chemistry

The Applied Analytical Chemistry MSc offered by UCL is a one-year, full-time course designed to present a solid grounding in all the major analytical techniques, along with advanced skills in areas such as method development and problem solving. Course Content: The course includes a mixture of lectures and laboratory-based activities, punctuated by a significant amount of independent research. After an initial two-month foundation period covering basic techniques and principles, students will move on to specialist topics according to chosen pathways. Coursework comprises 60% that includes analytical development, problem solving and group work, and written examinations make up the 40%.Key Modules: This programme includes a variety of key modules, including Analytical Methodology, Analytical Science and Technology, Topics in Analytical Research, and Issues and Skills.Accreditations: This MSc is accredited by the UK professional body for analytical chemistry, the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC).
