The Advanced Audiology MSc at UCL is a full-time, one-year master’s degree designed for individuals who wish to advance their knowledge and skills in clinical audiology. This course combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience, making it ideal for students who envision a career in audiology. Course Content: The course content is designed to provide students with a comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of audiology. It includes modules on clinical assessment and rehabilitation of the hearing-impaired, cochlear implants and other assistive devices, auditory implants, and hearing and balance commonly encountered in the clinic. The course also includes a substantial research project. Key Modules: The key modules of this course include Core Audiology, Research Methods, Electrophysiological Assessment in Audiology, and Rehabilitation Audiology. Additionally, students can opt for optional modules such as Paediatric Audiology, and Balance and Motor Control. Accreditations: The Advanced Audiology MSc is approved by the British Academy of Audiology (BAA). It is also recognized as part of the educational components required inside a Practising Clinical Scientist level registration portfolio.Future Careers: Graduates of the Advanced Audiology MSc often go on to work in a variety of roles including clinical audiologists, audiological scientists, educators, and researchers.
