Mres Experimental and Translational Immunology

The Experimental and Translational Immunology MRes at UCL is designed for students who wish to pursue a career in the field of biomedical sciences, specifically immunology. The course provides an in-depth understanding of the molecular and cellular basis of immunity and its application to the treatment of disease. The curriculum offers a combination of taught modules and two research projects to expand students' practical experience and understanding of research procedures and techniques.Course Content: The course content includes the fundamental aspects of immunology and its application in the clinical context, molecular and cellular immunology and immunological techniques. In addition, it offers a wide range of options from infectious diseases, neuroimmunity to the immune system and the skin.Key Modules: The core modules include Immunological Basis of Disease, Data Interpretation, Research Skills, Immunity and Infection, Extended Research Project for Biomedical Sciences, and Literature Review for Biomedical Sciences.Accreditations: This course is not specifically accredited by any professional body. However, the university itself is accredited and recognized worldwide.Future Careers: This course provides suitable pre-PhD training and can act as a stepping-stone to research positions in industry and in academia.
