The East European Studies MRes at UCL School of Slavonic and East European Studies (SSEES) is a specialist research programme. This two-year master's degree aims at developing a critical understanding of past and present societies, economies, cultures and languages of Eastern Europe and knowledge of research methods and practices from the disciplines of history, literature, language, politics, sociology and economics.Course Content: The programme focuses on areas relevant to Eastern Europe. During the course, students participate in team-based research design and methods in the social sciences, thesis report writing, a dissertation, and compulsory language training.
