The MRes in Biosciences at University College London (UCL) is a flexible and multidisciplinary research-based course designed to equip students with a wide range of specialist and transferable research skills.Course Content: This course is centred around a central, extensive research project that constitutes 74% of the final grade. The projects can be carried out in a broad range of research topics that lie within the biosciences area. The remaining 26% of the grade includes compulsory skills module and an optional module. The students will have the opportunity to hear about the latest, most exciting developments in bioscience research via the lecture series given by leaders in the field. Key Modules: The course involves key components such as an extended research project, research skills module, optional module, and an additional non-assessed lecture series. Future Careers: This MRes course prepares students for further research or a career in the bioscience industry. Graduates can use this course as a gateway into careers that have a significant research component and are not necessarily restricted to the lab. Many graduates also use this MRes as a stepping-stone to doctoral study. For more information on this course, please visit the official course page.
