The Advanced Neuroimaging MRes at UCL offers a comprehensive programme for students interested in neuroimaging, neurophysiology, and psychiatry, focusing on the principles, techniques, and applications of neuroimaging in understanding the workings of the human brain.Course Content: The course provides key understanding of complex scientific ideas, the ability to select and adapt techniques, and to design projects in the field of neurophysiology. It includes topics such as clinical applications and implications of the techniques and complex scientific ideas. There's also an emphasis put on MRI and EEG/MEG technology and applications, which includes both the underlying physics and the advantages and disadvantages of these methods. Key Modules: The core modules of this course include Advanced Neuroimaging: Understanding the Brain; Research Project; Transferable Statistics Skills – Practical Brain Image Analysis; Transferable Programming Skills – MatLab. Future Careers: This course provides a solid foundation for future research in academia or in industry in a wide range of roles related to neuroimaging and neurophysiology.
