MPA Climate, Innovation and Sustainability Policy

The Climate Innovation and Sustainability Policy MPA at University College London is a program designed to equip students with the skills for climate leadership. This program aims to help students understand the emerging technologies and innovations which can rapidly reduce carbon emissions, and how these can be encouraged through policy and finance, within different national contexts.Course Content: The core curriculum of the MPA understand covers areas such as carbon accounting and reporting, renewable energy technologies, and geo-engineering. Students will be introduced to the economics of climate change innovation, policy-making, international climate negotiations, and the practical skills necessary for climate leadership.Key Modules: The program comprises of six core modules: Climate Policy and Economics, Climate Finance and Innovation, Tools for Climate Policy and Innovation, Project Management and Programme Design, Accounting for Carbon, and - where restrictions allow - an International Lab and Report.Accreditations: The course is delivered by UCL’s world-class departments of Science, Technology, Engineering and Public Policy (STEaPP) and Energy and Climate Policy.
